Ratanya, Scholastica Nkirote; Mudanya, Ruth; Nzaro, Esther
The basic purpose of education is to progress holistically a well- balanced and responsive individual who can bring improvement and change one- self and society today. According to past studies, there has been no significant association between &#13;
e- collaboration and learners’ performance in Public schools in Kenya. Therefore, this study seeks to fill this knowledge gap. The general objective of the study is to determine the effect of ecollaboration system in teaching methodology in improving CBC learners’ performance in Public Schools in Kilifi County. This paper sought to assess the effect of e-collaboration on teaching&#13;
methodology in the performance. This means that the study will be guided by two independent variables, a moderating variable and a dependent variable. The outcome of this study will develop literature on matters concerning ecollaboration in matters pertaining teaching methodology and the CBC curriculum especially during the post COVID-19 era. The study will also provide new insights to the Ministry of Education and policy makers in formulating better polices on teaching methodology. Two theories formed wellfounded grounds significant for this study: Social Constructivist Theory and Traditional Pedagogy Theory. This study&#13;
will used descriptive research design and will focus on the total population of 85 public primary schools in Kilifi County. Sampling was be done using simple random sampling and convenience sampling which was used to get a sample size of 30% of the population giving a total of 26 Public primary schools form Kilifi County to be part of this study. A structured questionnaire was the main data collecting tool. Data was classified and analyzed by regression analysis by use of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), (version 22.0). Descriptive and inferential statistics were also used. The effect of the moderating effect of School management and leadership on ecollaboration in teaching and learning was also applied.

Globally, the hospitality industry is confronted by a multitude of challenges arising from the complexities of globalization, technological shifts, and the evolving preferences of consumers, leading to poor sales, productivity, and market share. This study explores the influence of organizational restructuring on four-star hotels in Kenya's coast region. Anchored in Contingency Theory, the study adopts a descriptive design targeting 319 managers. Using stratified random selection, 177 respondents form the sample. Data collected through drop-and-pick questionnaires undergoes correlation and Simple Linear regression analysis. Findings indicate a weak, positive linear relationship (R=0.149) between hotel performance and organizational restructuring. The model suggests only 2.2% of the dependent variable variation is directly influenced by the contingent variable (R2=0.022). This&#13;
implies a minimal impact of the studied factor on hotel performance. Policy implications emphasize targeted support for organizational restructuring, recognizing its limited direct impact, and promoting complementary measures for sustained improvement in hotel performance.

<title>COMPETENCY SKILLS AS AN ANTECEDENT OF WOMEN LEADERSHIP PERFORMANCE IN PARASTATALS IN KENYA</title>
<link>http://ir.tum.ac.ke/handle/123456789/17608</link>
<description>COMPETENCY SKILLS AS AN ANTECEDENT OF WOMEN LEADERSHIP PERFORMANCE IN PARASTATALS IN KENYA
Ratanya, Scholastica Nkirote; Mukulu, Prof. Elegwa; Sakwa, Prof. Maurice
Women participation is low in decision making positions around the globe. Evidence is provided by Commonwealth Plan of Action for Gender Equality (2005-2015) which stipulates that there should be a 30 per cent target for women in decision making positions in public or private corporations. This has contributed to the intense debate on their representation and performance in top leadership positions in parastatals in Kenya. It is due to the backdrop of this information that scholars are increasingly showing an interest in women leadership in the world today and Kenya is no exception. Previous studies have not identified a significant link&#13;
between antecedents of women leadership performance in parastatals hence, this study sought to fill this knowledge gap.&#13;
The study was guided by the general objective of the study which was to determine the effects of competency skills as an antecedent of women leadership performance in parastatals in Kenya. Two theories formed well-grounded premises significant for this study: Transformational theory and Upper Echelon Theory. Positivism philosophy was adopted. Descriptive research design was used and solely focused on the total population of 147, parastatals in Kenya. Simple random sampling and convenience sampling were used to get a sample size of 214 women leaders from 107 parastatals. The study used a structured questionnaire as the main data collection tool. A pilot study was carried out to test the data collection instrument to check for its reliability and&#13;
validity for the study. A total of 132 questionnaires were received translating to a 61.68%. Both descriptive and inferential&#13;
statistics used to analyse the data. Multi and linear regression models were used in explaining the effects of competency skills&#13;
as an antecedent of women leadership performance in Parastatals in Kenya. The study established that majority of respondents strongly agreed that for the last few years women leaders have improved in acquisition of the expected conceptual skills to support their leadership roles. This is because they have been able to access the most appropriate requisites that support their roles as leaders in their organizations. The study concluded that this was because a majority of the women leaders exclaimed that they had no obstacles that prevented them from attaining their full potential. This study recommends that special attention is&#13;
required to enhance women competencies. This is because it is important to note that women need skill, encouragement, selfconfidence, and decisiveness to adapt themselves to the dominant masculine environment.
