    Abstract
Purpose of the study: The study aimed at determining the effect of transformational supply chain governance on performance of agro processing firms in Kenya. Research methodology: The study adopted a survey research design. The targeted population was 344 agro-processing firms in Kenya registered with the Kenya Association of Manufacturers. This study used a census survey and questionnaires were used to collect primary data. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Findings: The study revealed that transformational supply chain governance had a significant influence on performance of agro processing firms in Kenya. Conclusion: The study concluded that transformational supply chain governance effected the performance of agro processing firms in Kenya. Recommendations: The study recommends that agro processing firms should implement the transformational supply chain governance to enhance their productivity and profitability. The study findings are important to regulators to enhance the level of implementation of transformational supply chain governance in agro processing firms. The study also recommends that it is necessary for future researchers to undertake similar or replicate empirical studies in agro processing firms that are not members of Kenya Association of Manufacturers to validate the findings and conclusions of this study.
